Grief & Loss

Grief in recovery is multifaceted: mourning the substance itself, lost relationships, wasted years, and sometimes the death of fellow addicts. Unprocessed grief is a significant relapse trigger. Healthy grieving means allowing yourself to feel the loss without numbing it, seeking support, and gradually finding meaning and hope in recovery.
