How can your expectations affect your recovery?
Achieving a state of acceptance and letting go of expectations can be recovery’s most difficult and painful challenge, one that many of us face time and again at various points in our lives. Acceptance means letting go of our judgments and expectations, which often prevent us from accepting ourselves and others willingly. Rather than continuing to wish that our circumstances were different, or thinking that we know better than those around us, we come to acceptance when we come to terms with ourselves and others.
